Meet Ray Bradbury

Ray Bradbury is one of my top three favorite authors of all time. I’ve read most of his work — in fact, I chose him for my book report author in high school, reading all five novels he had written at that time. I’ve been fortunate to hear him speak several times and actually shake his hand. If you have not been so fortunate and will be in Southern California this Friday, you might want to make your way to Torrance, Calif., for your chance to met the author of The Martian Chronicles and Fahrenheit 451 for yourself as he shares advice and experience about the art of writing. If it is like any of his other talks I’ve been to, it will be well worth your while.

About the author

As The Genre Traveler, Carma Spence loves to view the world through Genre-Coloured glasses. In other words, she sees the world through a lens of science fiction, fantasy, and horror, where trash cans can be Daleks in disguise and neighborhood forests can harbor faeries and sprites. Magic realism is real! Or at least you can choose to see the world that way to add to the fun and awe of life.
