To help promote the “double feature” movie, Grindhouse, opening in theatres on April 6, the New Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles is hosting a movie festival today through April 30. According to If Magazine, the “event will be a showcase for the risqué films exploiting sex, violence and extreme subject matter from the 1970s that inspired Grindhouse, with prints directly on loan from Tarantino’s private collection, many of which are unavailable on DVD and have not screened for the public in theatres in decades.”
