Horror Film Festival Coming to Los Angeles

Famous Monsters of Filmland Magazine recently announced its first official film festival, The Imagimovies Festival. Held in Oxnard, Calif., April 1-3, it celebrates Forrest J. Ackerman’s legacy and devotion to inspiring the imagination of storytellers.

Features of the event include:

Vincent Price A tribute to Vincent Price including showings of Theater Of Blood, The Tomb Of Ligeia, The Masque Of The Red Death, The Raven, The Pit & The Pendulum, The Tingler and more.
Stephen King Presentations of films based on the works of Stephen King, including All That You Love Will Be Carried Away (2010) by Robert Sterling, Cain Rose Up (2010) by Robert W. Livings and Grey Matter (2010) by James B. Cox.
Demiurge Emesis A selection of independent short and feature length horror, sci-fi, and fantasy films including Demiurge Emesis, The Urge, Wanderlost, Billy Baxter and The Mystery of Dr. Amazo, The Devil’s Toy, Peekers, Zombie Beach and more.
An early look at The Thing, Universal’s prequel to John Carpenter’s 1982 film of the same name.
