What Worked for Me
I love the “aged” pages that suite the story and the illustrations bring to life the scenes from the book. I recognize them from the film, but they aren’t taken from the movie at all. It all feels like you’re leafing through one of Miracle Max’s grimoires.
What Didn’t Work for Me
Frankly, I have nothing to say here. If you’re looking for a copy of this story that will neatly fit in your purse for some travel reading, this is not it. But if you’re looking for a keepsake that lovingly showcases a beloved tale, this Deluxe Edition is perfect!
Conclusion
The Deluxe Edition of The Princess Bride makes a great gift … to the children in your life or to yourself. I’m sure glad I can add it to my book collection! And I look forward to reading the story for the first time from between these gilded covers.
