NOTE: This website is currently on hiatus. I not sure for how long. Probably until sometime in 2009. I'm re-organizing how the information will be delivered, trying to catch up on some back work, and looking for a better way to make this site your go-to resource for science fiction, fantasy and horror travel information.

I got my monthly newsletter from the Museum of Science in Boston today and this little event caught me eye:

    Machine Science Robot Sumo Competition
    Saturday, May 19, 1 - 4:30 pm
What turns an ordinary robot into a Sumo wrestling champion? Find out as the Museum hosts a battle of robots built and programmed by Boston students. Watch the competition, and then learn how to build your own robot using inexpensive materials and online resources developed by Machine Science of Cambridge. The competition is included with Exhibit Halls admission.

You can learn more about this event at www.mos.org/events_activities/special_programs&amp&d=1728.

While you're at the museum, you might want to check out the Charles Hayden Planetarium where Into the Unknown: Exploring the Deepest Mysteries of the Universe is playing. It sounds interesting.

And, if you're a dinosaur lover, you'll want to go to MOS in June, when Dinosaurs Alive! will be playing at the Mugar Omni Theater.
