Travel Reads – Audio Books
I’m looking into reviewing audio books for The Genre Traveler’s Travel Reads section. I’m still having some logistical issues, but am accepting mp3 versions of audio books. Here is the queue so far:
|The Fox Inheritance
By Mary E. Pearson
Read by Matthew Brown
Once there were three. Three friends who loved each other—Jenna, Locke, and Kara. And after a terrible accident destroyed their bodies, their three minds were kept alive, spinning in a digital netherworld. Even in that disembodied nightmare, they were still together. At least at first. When Jenna disappeared, Locke and Kara had to go on without her. Decades passed, and then centuries. Two-hundred-and-sixty years later, they have been released at last. Given new, perfect bodies, Locke and Kara awaken to a world they know nothing about, where everyone they once knew and loved is long dead. Everyone except Jenna Fox.

|The Walking Dead: Rise of the Governor
By Robert Kirkman and Jay Bonansinga
Read by Fred Berman
In the Walking Dead universe, there is no greater villain than The Governor. The despot who runs the walled-off town of Woodbury, he has his own sick sense of justice: whether it’s forcing prisoners to battle zombies in an arena for the townspeople’s amusement, or chopping off the appendages of those who cross him. The Governor was voted “Villain of the Year” by Wizard magazine the year he debuted, and his story arc was the most controversial in the history of the Walking Dead comic book series. Now, for the first time, fans of The Walking Dead will discover how The Governor became the man he is, and what drove him to such extremes. This 9-CD audio book is narrated by four-time winner of the Audiofile Earphone Award Fred Berman.
