Weekend of the Witch

Weekend of the Witch, Salem, MassFor the past three years, Tours of Terror has been hosting weekend in Salem called Weekend of the Witch. This year, the weekend will be held Nov. 12 through 14 and there is still time to reserve your place.

Salem, Mass., is a city filled with rich history and unique stories and best known for the witch trials of 1692. Founded in 1626, Salem has more than 400 years of American history preserved in museums, historic sites, and attractions. If you find one attraction too serious or historical, turn the corner because the next thing to catch your eye could be a bit more macabre or bizarre.

Open to all ages … couples, singles and families alike … the tour includes visits to The House of the Seven Gables, which inspired Nathanial Hawthorne’s classic novel of the same name, and to The Witch House, home of Judge Jonathan Corwin. Also included are a visit to The Witch Dungeon Museum, a night-time tour of Salem, and admissions to whatever area haunted attractions are open (such as Frightmare Factory and Dracula’s Castle).

The package includes hotel accommodations for Friday and Saturday nights, admissions into the attractions, and shuttle service to and from the hotel. There will be time set aside for shopping and exploring and private paranormal investigations. The cost is $499.00 per person. Meals and travel to & from Salem are not included.

About the author

As The Genre Traveler, Carma Spence loves to view the world through Genre-Coloured glasses. In other words, she sees the world through a lens of science fiction, fantasy, and horror, where trash cans can be Daleks in disguise and neighborhood forests can harbor faeries and sprites. Magic realism is real! Or at least you can choose to see the world that way to add to the fun and awe of life.
