The 12 Days of Halloween

12daysofhalloweenI just finished reading the first book in the Twilight series … not bad, not great either, but that’s another post. Anyway, at the end, the first chapter of the second book, New Moon, was included and it ended with the following sentence:

“… into the fevered eyes of the six suddenly ravenous vampires.”

And for some reason it got me creating a Halloween version of “The 12 Days of Christmas.” Here’s what I came up with.

On the first day of Halloween, my true love gave to me:

  • A Frankenstein Monster.

On the second day of Halloween, my true love gave to me:

  • Two curious ghosts and
  • a Frankenstein monster.

On the third day of Halloween, my true love gave to me:

  • Three lumbering zombies
  • Two curious ghosts, and
  • A Frankenstein monster.

On the fourth day of Halloween, my true love gave to me:

  • Four obsequious Igors
  • Three lumbering zombies
  • Two curious ghosts, and
  • A Frankenstein monster.

On the fifth day of Halloween, my true love gave to me:

  • Five golden ghouls
  • Four obsequious Igors
  • Three lumbering zombies
  • Two curious ghosts, and
  • A Frankenstein monster.

On the sixth day of Halloween, my true love gave to me:

  • Six voracious vampires
  • Five golden ghouls
  • Four obsequious Igors
  • Three lumbering zombies
  • Two curious ghosts, and
  • A Frankenstein monster.

On the seventh day of Halloween, my true love gave to me:

  • Seven howling werewolves
  • Six voracious vampires
  • Five golden ghouls
  • Four obsequious Igors
  • Three lumbering zombies
  • Two curious ghosts, and
  • A Frankenstein monster.

On the eighth day of Halloween, my true love gave to me:

  • Eight headless horsemen
  • Seven howling werewolves
  • Six voracious vampires
  • Five golden ghouls
  • Four obsequious Igors
  • Three lumbering zombies
  • Two curious ghosts, and
  • A Frankenstein monster.

On the ninth day of Halloween, my true love gave to me:

  • Nine swimming sea monsters
  • Eight headless horsemen
  • Seven howling werewolves
  • Six voracious vampires
  • Five golden ghouls
  • Four obsequious Igors
  • Three lumbering zombies
  • Two curious ghosts, and
  • A Frankenstein monster.

On the tenth day of Halloween, my true love gave to me:

  • Ten man-eating pod plants
  • Nine swimming sea monsters
  • Eight headless horsemen
  • Seven howling werewolves
  • Six voracious vampires
  • Five golden ghouls
  • Four obsequious Igors
  • Three lumbering zombies
  • Two curious ghosts, and
  • A Frankenstein monster.

On the eleventh day of Halloween, my true love gave to me:

  • 11 practicing witch doctors
  • Ten man-eating pod plants
  • Nine swimming sea monsters
  • Eight headless horsemen
  • Seven howling werewolves
  • Six voracious vampires
  • Five golden ghouls
  • Four obsequious Igors
  • Three lumbering zombies
  • Two curious ghosts, and
  • A Frankenstein monster.

On the twelfth day of Halloween, my true love gave to me:

  • 12 dancing demons
  • 11 practicing witch doctors
  • Ten man-eating pod plants
  • Nine swimming sea monsters
  • Eight headless horsemen
  • Seven howling werewolves
  • Six voracious vampires
  • Five golden ghouls
  • Four obsequious Igors
  • Three lumbering zombies
  • Two curious ghosts, and
  • A Frankenstein monster.
